Google Friend Connect

Wow…Google has launched Google Friend Connect service for website that is not social networks but wants to be social now it is very easy with Google Friend Connect. I was dreaming for a site where I can access all email services in one page and Google friend connect is where we can see, visit, invite, access emails, and interact with old or new friends from social sites on the web. They can use their favourite application on their site, but one thing is that site owner can’t change user’s data what they delivers. I think it will be more helpful to user is to make all logins in one page, by using this service they can invite, visit, interact with friends as well as business partners. Every thing we can grab under one site.

Through Google Friend Connect any website owner can add snippet of code to his or her website and get social features running on their site without any programming, like user registration, login in multiple email services, member gallery and message posting. Basically, what Friend Connect does is gather this data and from big social sites and posts it in uniform way. It works as third party sites and big repositories of social data. It will help to increase number of visitors.

First you need to login in Google friend connect http://www.google.com/friendconnect/. You can choose the application from gallery which you want to implement on your site. You can choose the gadgets created by Google and the Open Social developer community for example photo sharing, gaming etc, then copy the snippets of code for the gadget which you want to implement. Paste the snippets where you want it will be up and running on your site.

Google getting all secure information because of this feature and later taking monopoly in web. Am looking forward for webmasters to add more applications for Google friend connect so that it will be more user friendly and a very good application.

Viral Marketing

Let me tell you about viral marketing in this topic. Viral marketing is the rapid spread of a message about a new product or service in a similar way to the spread of a virus. Viral marketing is one of the best marketing strategy which helps to grow your business, turn over, customer and reputation. It will be more interactive than online advertising or email marketing. Because person who is suggesting you the product has already used that product and you will purchase that product blindly. It will help to grow your reputation in market, grow your business as well as customers. It is a technique that uses word of mouth or email to reach and affect an audience.
Here are some viral marketing techniques.

Allow customer to download or sharing files free
Allow people to download content, images, videos for free it helps spread information about your product and service. It helps you to become popular.
Users Opinion
Allow user to write there comments and opinion about product, according that makes changes it helps to improve product quality as well as customer attraction.
Never restrict access!
Viral marketing is also about your campaign getting a life on its own - spreading like virus. In order to do that, in order to become "viral", it needs to be free.

  • Do not require people to register
  • to become members
  • to download special software
  • to enter "unlock" codes

Make people feel something
Viral marketing is 100% about emotions. So you should make people feel good about our service and product, you need to have opinion, to express an idea with commitment and dedication. You want people to:

  • Be filled with love or hate.
  • Be very happy or insanely angry
  • Be an idiot or a genius

The classic example of viral marketing is Hot mail.com, one of the first free Web-based e-mail services. The strategy is simple:

  1. Give away free e-mail addresses and services,
  2. Attach a simple tag at the bottom of every free message sent out: "Get your private, free email at http://www.hotmail.com" and,
  3. Then stand back while people e-mail to their own network of friends and associates,
  4. Who see the message,
  5. Sign up for their own free e-mail service, and then
  6. Propel the message still wider to their own ever-increasing circles of friends and associates.

Effective viral marketing with Delicious and stumble upon. Most important benefits of signing up Delicious and Stumble Upon

  • Short, but high volume of traffic resulting from stumbles and bookmarks discovered by other user.
  • Increased link popularity can result from other users linking to your site from their own bookmarks or their own websites.
  • Join other groups and check out bookmarks of other users with similar interests.

A carefully designed viral marketing strategy ripples outward extremely rapidly.

US Election votes for Internet Marketing

Internet plays an increasingly important role in politics as a way to reach voters; presidential candidates are employing sophisticated Internet marketing tactics to maximize the impact of their websites. I enjoy following politics and have been an avid spectator of the on-going 2008 U.S Presidential Elections. It’s very entertaining to see how political parties compete with one another during an election to win votes.

The internet has been moving to the mainstream of political life in the US for some years. The internet favours the outsider, and gives them the ability to quickly mobilise supporters and money online. www.barackobama.com chalked up some 1.5 million volunteer accounts. In an age when voters get their information from a multiplicity of sources, internet reaches region, age groups etc. It allows candidates to target voters with pin-point accuracy. And it’s free. It costs $60 to mobilise one voter through direct mail, $30 via telephone - but only $1.56 through social networking sites and email. Both John McCain and Barack Obama have made it clear that they will use the Internet to communicate effectively if in office. Mr Obama use of social networking sites has helped Mr Obama to mobilise young people. Social networking sites are a chance for Obama to engage supporters. A stream of celebrity-fronted ads has targeted the You Tube generation, encouraging them to register to vote or vote early.

Every candidate has a blog but for the most part, it's just the voice of the campaign -- or one particular campaign staffer. People searching with the term 'end war in Iraq' will see the Barack Obama website in the results. Candidates who are identifying themselves with certain issues should look closely at how they are performing on those keywords. It is the social networking opportunities offered by the internet that has paid Barack Obama the richest dividends. Internet video clips have become mainstream, both as a way to illustrate political points and to view clips of the candidates from news and entertainment television shows.

Obama's victory in the general election was aided by his tremendous fundraising success. Since the start of 2007, his campaign relied on bigger donors and smaller donors nearly equally, pulling in successive donations mostly over the Internet. Obama’s fundraising haul was more than twice the amount Democrat John Kerry raised in 2004, and more than twice what George Bush and Al Gore combined brought in during the 2000 presidential campaign. The Democrats are succeeding with young people because they are targeting young people and they are using the Internet to successfully micro target. Micro targeting uses sophisticated computer models regularly used in commercial marketing, which helps campaigns to locate sympathetic voters and target them with individually tailored messages on issues that are predicted to be most important to them

His online success has had an impact at the polls. Internet marketing has become powerful weapon for candidates to increase their voters, fundraising etc and finally presidency. What I found most intriguing was how the campaigns are approaching social media and how they could be doing better. Their blogs are a perfect example.

Index tools is now Yahoo Web Analytics

Another site traffic statistics tool hits the web, and it’s called Yahoo Analytics. It is similar name as Google Analytics; they introduce Yahoo! Web Analytics as a powerful enterprise site analytics tool to provide real-time insight into visitor behavior on your website with powerful and flexible tools and dashboards. Major changes include a complete re-branding from Index Tools to Yahoo Web Analytics, enhancements to the tool, a new website and some increased scalability.

Real time traffic monitoring is really an awesome feature. Yahoo! Analytics is providing the same real time monitoring service. You will get detailed real-time reporting within minutes after an action on your website so that webmasters can quickly identify changes in key site metrics or they can monitor the performance of new content. Analytics works on java script tags.

How does site tracking work?

When a visitor comes and visits a web page that which is having Yahoo Web Analytics tracking code, the visitor's browser will read this tracking code and call a JavaScript file installed on the web server. Once Called, the JavaScript file will open a data collection session and set (or reset) a one-year, first-party cookie in the visitor's browser. This cookie will be stored in the visitor's browser until it expires after one year, or until the user deletes it. If user deletes cookies from his browsers, next time it will show as First-party visitor for a web page.

During the visit this first-party cookie is initially set; Yahoo Web Analytics will identify the visitor as a first-time visitor. Each time the visitor returns to your site, the cookie life will be reset to one year beyond the date of the visit, and Yahoo! Web Analytics will recognize the visitor as a returning visitor.

Yahoo analytics is having some new features

New features like drag & drop data filters, custom report wizards, and segmentation selector, allows you to view the performance or characteristics of specific types of products, visitors and web pages, which will help online marketers and website designers enhance the visitor experience, increase sales and reduce marketing costs.

Yahoo analytics could be a really useful tool. If Yahoo web analytics meets the user needs very well, I anticipate Google will be under pressure to build his analytics to retain users. Each organization should introduce new features that other doesn’t have and try their best for topmost web analytics tool. Whatever it may be, we users will be beneficial.

Below is the overview of Yahoo web analytics. Have a look on it

Google Chrome

Google launched its chrome browser with a new set of standards for all web browsers. Google chrome make a impressive start with its simplicity, power, speed and many more user friendly stuffs.Google wants the browser to help user focus on the applications and pages they are viewing ,rather than on browser toolbars and buttons. It’s in beta and I don’t know how Google launched such a big software without finding bugs.

Features

One box for everything
New Tab page
Application shortcuts
Dynamic tabs
Crash control
Incognito mode
Safe browsing
Instant bookmarks
importing settings
Simpler downloads

Installing chrome is much simpler as automatic downloader and installer does the entire job for u. There is no need to go through the classic next buttons.Everything is done automatically and finally u will be able to import bookmarks and other stuffs.

Application shortcuts is an extraordinary addition as it allows you to open web applications without starting your browser, just as if they were installed on your desktop. The interface is of a disturbing simplicity, but the basic features are there, and they managed to implement some unique options. Stability is mighty impressive too. Google is making great play of the fact that it launches each and every tab in a different Windows process.

From my perspective, I like it. So far I have spent couple of hours on this browser and have watched some videos and it’s outstanding. Overall, this simple approach is entirely effective. Its speed and stability extremely well for the future. Well I suppose we should view it as part of Google family, But do you think these features gonna beat Internet Explorer, Mozilla's Fire fox, and even Apple's Safari??

Well hope very soon Google launch the next few beta releases of chrome.

Tips on Pay Per Click Management

Pay per click search engine advertising is becoming increasingly popular as they allow anyone to bid for top positions in major search engines and drive immediate traffic within hours of launching a website. Pay Per Click enables you to list your site at the top of search engine results by advertising on keywords that best describe your product or service.Pay per click allows you to be listed at the top of the search results quickly.

I would like to suggest some ways to optimize pay per click search engine ads.

Make a list of targeted keyword phrase and submit them to your pay per click management account. Make sure you include plural versions of all keyword phrases if the pay per click search engine does not automatically pluralize keyword phrases. Search phase should be included in the ad title. This will help to catch the search engine user’s attention.

Concentrate on descriptions. Explain your visitors how your website meets their needs. Offer incentives, such as online coupons, free trials etc. Monitor the performance of all keyword phrases. Avoid bidding wars. Instead, try to find more specific multi-word phrases that cost less per click. Create landing pages for different keyword phrases to grab the visitor's interest.

Update your listings as the shopping season changes. For example: Christmas, Easter, Valentines Day, etc. Test with different keywords, titles, descriptions, bids, landing pages, etc.

If we use major pay per click search engines like Google or Yahoo, the result will be scaleable and also feedback will be quicker.
